Frame Appraisals

We provide appraisals of frames on individual works and whole collections both private and public, describing period, nationality, quality, condition and suitability.  Important frames are highlighted including pictures which could be improved by reframing.

Framing Proposals

A client’s picture may most easily be viewed in different frames using computer-generated montages, or by physically standing the painting in successive frames, or both.

• On receiving a digital image of the painting(s) including artist’s details, title and size we search our inventories identifying frames of matching nationality, period and size, as well as sympathetic styles and finishes for modern masters.
• Montages are created of the picture in selected frames and emailed to the client with descriptions and costs.
• Depending on availability antique originals and/or high quality handmade reproductions are offered.
